1. Who We Are

Bolo Aur Likho ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered audio transcription service available at boloaurlikho.com. The service is designed and developed by Vikas Omprakash Goyal.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect minimal data to provide our service:

• Audio files you upload or record — processed in real-time and immediately deleted after transcription. We do not store them.
• Transcripts — generated and returned to you. We do not store transcripts on our servers.
• Usage analytics — via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This includes pages visited, events triggered (e.g. transcription completed), browser type, and approximate location (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is collected.
• Language preference and options — selected by you in the app (timestamps, AI summary). Used only to process your request.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To transcribe your audio using OpenAI's Whisper API
• To generate AI summaries using OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini (if you opt in)
• To understand how people use our service and improve it (via GA4)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the transcription service.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI (Whisper + GPT-4o-mini) — Your audio is sent to OpenAI's API for transcription. OpenAI's privacy policy applies. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models.
• Google Analytics 4 — Anonymised usage data. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Netlify — Our hosting provider. Netlify may log request metadata (IP, timestamp) for security. Netlify's privacy policy applies.

5. Data Retention

• Audio files: Deleted immediately after transcription (within seconds)
• Transcripts: Never stored on our servers — returned to your browser only
• Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics per their standard policy (up to 14 months)

6. Cookies

We use cookies only through Google Analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies for marketing purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

7. Your Rights

Since we don't store your personal data or audio files, there is nothing to delete or export from our end. For GA4 analytics data, you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. Children's Privacy

Bolo Aur Likho is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used our service, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
